Training

At Yorkshire Mentoring, we provide a range of training programmes via our team of experienced training practitioners and programme co-ordinators.

All programmes are tailor-delivered in person to professionals, parents and school-based audiences.

Our current range of training programmes are targeted at young people or those who work with or support them.

We specialise in focussing on Knife Crime awareness and Serious Youth Violence.

We have two programmes, both age-appropriate knife crime awareness programmes that can be delivered to primary-age pupils in all class settings, and our targeted secondary and alternative provision resource with a hard-hitting video.

In addition, we created and delivered programmes to both increase understanding and awareness to parents, carers and professionals on understanding serious youth violence. This training has been delivered to Probation, Local authorities and school-based staff.

Mentoring

We develop & manage mentoring and peer mentoring provision across the region in partnership with Violence Reduction partnerships, and Local Authorities, and local enterprises.

Using our knowledge and experience, we have been delivering mentoring programmes for over a decade and the upskilling and recruitment of volunteers and sessional workers.

Our mentoring programmes have included providing support to young people via one-to-one in the community, working with community safety partnerships based on targeted school and college provision and also peer mentoring programmes, and starting up businesses.

Many programmes specialise in mentoring young people identified as vulnerable or at risk of Criminal Exploitation.
